This three-part project was a combined team effort of three interior designers and one graphic designer (me). Part 1 was based upon an exhibit concept for the interior of the Trajan Market in Rome, Italy. Part 2 was based upon the garden area of the market, where we implemented a café and gift shop in the Garden delle Militzia. Part 3 was based upon the Torre delle Militzia, an ancient brick tower structure set in the garden of the Trajan Market Museum.
Part 1: Damned Elagabalus
Damned Elagabalus was a temporary exhibition piece for Roman Emperor, Elagabalus.
Part 3: Torre delle Militzia
Torre delle Militzia was a part of the tower that is a piece of understanding the history of Rome’s famous landmarks.
Part 2: Imperial Flora Café & Gift Shop
Imperial Flora Cafe & Gift Shop is a part of the Garden of the Militzia.
Damned Elagabalus
Damned Elagabalus
Damned Elagabalus is an exhibit for Roman Emperor Elagabalus who ruled for the short term of 218 - 222. The name of the exhibit was chosen by the museum curator. Elagabalus was a controversial figure, challenging Roman religion by the implementation of a new God, and societal standards with his promiscuity.
Branding & Personality

Wayfinding
Map of the exhibition showing the phases of how to walk through the exhibition for Elagabalus. There are 7 sections in total, walking the guest through Elagabalus’ story. The signs on the right show wayfinding for directional iconography and ADA accessibility. I 3D modeled and rendered these signs through Blender. The Watercolor mark behind the icon ties in the signage with the exhibit.
The Damned Elagabalus Exhibition App
The app for the exhibition will showcase the artifacts and their descriptions. The app will section out the artifacts with each phase that the guest will walk through in the exhibition experience.
